How Charities and NGO’s Can Benefit From The AI Video Revolution
Just a quick shout out to all Brand Managers, Head of Communications, Chief Marketing Officers, Heads of Fundraising, Social Media Managers, Head of Content Managers, Head of Marketing … and everyone else involved in spreading the word about their charity and NGO in a cost effective way.
Why aren’t you using AI video production as part of your communications? You’ll save a fortune and be far more agile in terms of getting your message out to the cohorts you need to reach.
I realise this is quite the opening statement but, I think you can probably tell, I’m not a bot and this wasn’t pushed out using GPT or another LLM. I’m just frustrated. It’s also not a sales pitch in the traditional sense, I just want to give you a heads up. It’s a cry from the heart from me to you:
There’s an opportunity here that I don’t think you’ve spotted. Or if you have spotted it you aren’t sure how to execute. That’s what I’m here to help with.
The AI video prosecution revolution is in full swing. My company Synima, produces AI video production for Fortune 500 companies, in banking, tech and healthcare. These companies are highly profitable and have grasped that they can produced content for a fraction of the price of traditional video and animations production. I did say ‘fraction of the price’ – not ‘free’ not ‘silly money’ but around half the cost.
What is very frustrating to me is that charities and NGO’s many of which are extremely short of funds (eg thanks to amendments to USAID) etc don’t realise they can take advantage of the AI video production revolution and generate great content. How?
Creating Content
You can create eg an initial fundraising video for around £10K. OK, hear me out. That initial production will give you one fundraising vide. The creation of it will give you what’s called a LORA – for example a consistent character or product / brand which can be used over and over again on any subsequent content. So any subsequent content will be e.g. £6K, or much less.
There are also ‘wins’ along the way. The initial video can be cut down to 15 seconds, 30 seconds. The video voiceover can be put into ANY language in a couple of hours and re-exported to video. Still images can be taken from the video and used as part of your marketing collateral. More wins? Here’s just one:
Raising The Dead
It’s now become possible to create video of the dead. I realise that sounds ghoulish but hear me out. We’re being asked to create video of founders who have passed away and tastefully pop them into e.g. AGM meetings. This isn’t just a 200 years old oil painting of the long dead Founder brough to life, it’s often a CEO who has died in the last five years. Implication? If you had a brand ambassador representing your charity who has died, and you can get agreement from their estate, you have the possibility of reinstating that ambassador for your charity. Don’t believe me? Look at Hollywood. Val Kilmer who recently died is being brough back to star in ‘As Deep As The Grave’ (2027).
Copyright and IP Concerns.
A reason you might know this but be too scared to proceed. The FUD’s around IP and copyright concerns. Summed up by: “Can we safely use this, and who’s liable if we can’t?”
There is a lot of confusion and hype around IP and copyright. But here’s a couple of things to consider. There are ways to produce content which reduces if not completely eliminates risk. We create a ‘walled garden’ using Enterprise licenses with the main software providers. They provide a walled garden for us, and we pass that onto our clients.
Second. We can guarantee any workflows will not contain copyright material. We know the provenance of anything we produce and will ensure you won’t get any blow back through it’s use. Also, we don’t use your content to train any subsequent work you produce. That’s a contractual obligation we make with you.
In short: We don’t just create AI content. We make it safe, owned, and usable inside an enterprise environment.
If you want proof of a charity that we’re working with at the moment, have a look at the National Association of Children of Alcoholics above, and feel free to ask them about working with me.
OK so now I have cathartically vented. Please pass this around your organisation. I would be delighted to talk to you more about any of this and support you in getting your message out there.
